Let us pray today for those leaders in our nation who know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We ought pray for their witness to their colleagues and their staff. We can pray for them to have all of the wisdom and justice needed to lead both courageously and compassionately. We need to pray for God to protect them from compromise, slander, temptation, and greed. And we should pray for them as they seek to faithfully represent all of their constituents to the best of their ability. Very few of us realistically know the challenges they face and the weighty matters that are upon them. For every criticism we may have of them, let us make sure that it is overly counter-balanced with intercession for them.
