Today let's give thanks for our "First World Problems."
My car is causing me frustrations, then I remember that most people in the world do not own a car.
I have an unexpected expense with my home, then I remember that most people in the world do not own a home.
My computer is causing me premature hair loss, then I remember that most people in the world do not own a computer.
And the list of my "first world problems" goes on and on and on. The real danger here is not that I do not have enough guilt over what I have, but that I do not have enough gratitude for it. The Lord's desire is not that I feel guilty over these things, but that I feel overwhelmingly grateful for them.
"I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need." ~ Philippians 4:12
Ask God to grant you contentment ... and then give Him thanks for all things!
