This Sunday's Sermon continues our 2021 Lenten Series: The Suffering Servant with a message entitled, "Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover" from Isaiah 53:1-3
The old saying goes, “Do not judge a book by its cover.” It means that appearances can be deceiving and wrong. Jesus was not the Messiah that God’s people were expecting, but He was the Savior that they needed. The cover of His book was unimpressive. The reviews of His life even less so. But that is because of this important truth: True knowledge of who He is comes via revelation and not via human wisdom or evaluation.
