Wednesday Wisdom - February 24

"I have learned to kiss the waves that throw me up against the Rock of Ages." ~ Charles Spurgeon

An incredible statement of trust in God in the midst of suffering.

James 1:2-4 - Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Do you find that trials in your life bring you to the point of being perfect, complete, and lacking nothing? I venture to say that none of us do ... why not? Perhaps it is because we have confused this "point" as being a place of changed circumstances, rather than a Person of unchanging love and power ... Jesus.

Only when we find Jesus in the midst of hardship can we say that we are perfect, complete, and lacking nothing.
