Let us continue to pray for the church by praying for her prayer. Sounds ironic doesn't it, to pray for prayer in the church. But it is simply a sad fact that prayer today is lacking in the church. We - Christ's church - are often as guilty as everyone else of self-reliance, trusting our own wisdom, planning within the means of our budget, and spending that budget on ourselves. This is not to be overly-critical of the church, but revival - both individual and corporate - starts with an honest and humble examination of self leading to repentance and then consecration to God's will. Revival is always accompanied by a renewed casting of ourselves upon the Lord ... and prayer is always and expression of such trust in the Lord.
Our nation certainly need revival. Let us pray that it might begin with His church, on her knees, seeking His face.
