Jesus is gentle and lowly in heart (Matthew 11:29). This is the only verse that directly tells us what Jesus' heart is for.
"He doesn't simply meet us at our place of need; he lives in our place of need. He never tires of sweeping us into his tender embrace. It is his very heart. It is what gets him out of bed in the morning." ~ Dane Ortlund
Is this how you would describe Jesus' heart for you? Most of us, if we are honest, feel more like we are a bit of a bother to the Lord. Surely He gets irritated with us. Our constant neediness, unfailing fumbles, stubborn resistance, must to some degree irk Him.
No they don't. His grace is not simply tolerant, it is amazing. Remind yourself of it today.
